This Privacy Policy explains how Pandiyan Infotech ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the CountExpert mobile application ("CountExpert" or the "App").
CountExpert is an object-counting application that can use photographs and camera input to perform supported counting functions.
1. Information We Access or Process
Camera
CountExpert may request access to your device camera when you choose a camera-based feature. Camera access is used to capture an image for the counting functionality. CountExpert does not use the camera to continuously record you in the background.
Photos and Images
When you choose an image for counting, CountExpert may access the image that you selected or captured. Images may also be stored locally on your device when you save them through the App.
Images used for counting are processed for the App's counting functionality. Unless a particular feature clearly tells you otherwise, CountExpert does not require you to upload your selected images to a CountExpert server merely to perform counting.
Account and Authentication Information
Some versions or features of CountExpert may use Google Firebase services for authentication and application functionality. If you use an account-based feature, information associated with that account, such as a Firebase user identifier and the authentication information provided to the authentication provider, may be processed to provide that feature.
Application Data
If a CountExpert feature stores information in a cloud service, the information necessary for that feature may be processed through the service used by the App. We do not intentionally collect unrelated personal information.
2. How We Use Information
Information accessed or processed by CountExpert may be used to:
- provide image capture and object-counting functionality;
- process and display counting results;
- save and manage images that you choose to keep on your device;
- provide account-related features, where enabled;
- maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App;
- provide customer support; and
- provide advertising or paid features where applicable.
3. Machine Learning and Image Processing
CountExpert uses computer-vision and machine-learning technology for supported counting features. The App may use an embedded machine-learning model on the device to analyze an image and produce a count.
The purpose of image analysis is to provide the counting feature. We do not use your images for unrelated purposes.
4. Advertising
CountExpert may display advertisements using Google AdMob. Advertising providers may process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostic information as permitted by their services and applicable settings and laws.
Advertising practices are subject to Google's applicable policies and the choices and controls available on your device and in the App.
5. Google Play Billing
CountExpert may offer paid features or subscriptions through Google Play Billing. Payment card and other payment credentials are handled by Google Play and its payment systems. CountExpert does not receive your full payment-card number through the billing integration.
6. Third-Party Services
CountExpert may use third-party services and software libraries to provide functionality, including Google services such as Firebase, Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), Google Play services, and Google Play Billing.
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms. We configure and use third-party services only for purposes relevant to the App.
7. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
CountExpert does not intentionally request or collect unrelated information such as your contacts, SMS messages, call history, precise location, microphone recordings, or health information for the counting functionality.
8. Data Storage and Retention
Images that you capture, select, save, rename, or delete through CountExpert may remain on your device according to your actions and your device's storage behavior. CountExpert does not automatically retain locally saved images on a CountExpert server merely because they exist on your device.
Where account or cloud functionality is enabled, associated account information and cloud-stored application data are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
9. Deletion and Your Choices
You can delete images stored on your device using CountExpert's available delete functions or your device's file-management tools.
If your version of CountExpert provides account creation, you may request deletion of your account and associated account data by contacting us using the contact method below. We will process valid deletion requests in accordance with applicable law and the technical requirements of the services we use.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by CountExpert. Data transmitted to our service providers is protected using security mechanisms appropriate to the service, including encrypted network connections where supported.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Children's Privacy
CountExpert is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. We do not intentionally request personal information from children for unrelated purposes.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a way that is not appropriate, please contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
12. Permissions
CountExpert requests permissions only when a feature needs them. For example, camera access is requested when you use camera functionality. You can manage app permissions through Android's system settings.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when CountExpert's features, services, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed when the policy is materially updated.
